Heidelberg 7-18-02

So the first order of business was food.  We found a great little German restaurant and filled up.  There were, of course, American tourists at the table across from ours who volunteered to take the group shot.  After we had had plenty to eat, we made our way up to the castle.  The Heidelberg Castle is perched on a hill with a great view of the town of Heidelberg, the Rhein River and the hills across the valley.

In addition to having great views, and being really old, the castle is home to such things as a giant barrel, presumable for storing some kind of liquid refreshment (wine or beer?), and a medicine museum.  We took the quick tour, punctuated with .30 Euro bathroom breaks and plenty of picture taking.
