Backpacking - July 24 to July 28, 2003

The next day (Saturday), we all took day trips, except for Jan who basically lounged around camp most of the day.  Joe and I hiked the entire way around the lake and took some nice pictures of the whole thing.  We played some cards in the afternoon, and the rain and hail held off.  Pretty soon, Ed showed up (much to our suprise and delight).  Better late than never huh?  ;)  He got there just in time, too.  It started raining and hailing in the evening just as Ed got his tent set up.  I wound up sleeping in there with him that night which worked well since it rained late into the evening and he has a big tent.  Jan made a makeshift tent and was able to stay dry.  I lost big playing cards, BTW. ;)
