Backyard Renovation Project

Late March / Early April 2002

We did some renovation to the backyard to make it a safer and more enjoyable place for Edison to play.  As you will see in these and the following set of pictures, we put in a fence, installed a swinging door, removed plants from the flowerbeds, replaced them with pavers, built a box for safeguarding the sprinkler valves as well as purchasing a child gate to keep Edison in (and unwanted guests out) when he's playing.  The project took us (mostly Varrin) about 4 days to complete and Edison adores his new play area.  What kid wouldn't love the backyard?

The only thing left to do is make sure our neighbors to the north do their part in installing some sort of fencing on the interior of their yard.  They have 3 very aggressive dogs that are outside all day and have already broken several of the boards on our shared fence by attacking the fence when we come near it.

Edison and Erin are seen in the following pictures either helping out, eating grass, stealing tools or just sitting looking pretty!
